Ana Nájera Mendoza, Coordinator of Leadership and Language Access

Work Background: 
For several years, Ana has been involved with Chican@/Latin@ youth and student organizations in California, Minnesota, and Ecuador to promote opportunities to higher education, community development, and youth political participation. In 2004, she served as the Chicano/Latino Youth Organizing Intern where she supported the NOVEMBER 2/2 de NOVIEMBRE campaign to get out the vote in Latino communities in several states. Ana has also been involved in political participation work with young Latinos abroad while based in Quito, Ecuador. She has since served as the Latino Leadership Fellow for the League of Rural Voters. 

Academic degrees:
Ana earned her Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College (St. Paul, MN) in Political Science and Latin American Studies. Her areas of focus were democratization, political participation, and cultural studies in U.S. Latino and Latin American communities.
