Gabby Alaniz
Work background:
Gabriela has been involved in working with the Latino community through several projects. She was involved in a Latino student organization at UCLA to bring basic health services to low-income Latino communities in the Los Angeles area. Gabriela also participated in coordinating and volunteering in quarterly trips to Tecate, Mexico to bring basic health services to that area. Gabriela has worked with Latinas throughout the state of California who are diagnosed with breast cancer to provide access to resources available in order to promote a timely and seamless access to treatment, services, and emotional support. Currently she volunteers her time as an interpreter for Mobile Health Clinics which serve Latino communities in eastern Iowa.

Gabriela earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles – UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Communication Studies with minors in Latin American Studies and Spanish.
